There’s nothing worse than writing a blog post that no one reads. Or perhaps, putting on a pretty outfit with nowhere to go. It almost seems pointless to try when all the work you’ve done has virtually no effect on anyone anywhere. You should just give up, right?

wrong. I could now insert a ton of proverbial idioms about how Rome wasn’t built in a day, or success doesn’t happen overnight. Yet all I want to say is it takes a long time to do something big.

It’s easy to give up. In fact it’s so much easier to give up and do nothing that it is to persevere and soldier on. I encourage you today to continue on in your path to doing whatever it is you want to do. Your journey could start by picking up a pen, or a book, making a phone call–whatever. Everyone has to start somewhere, but the most important factor is that you start 

 the most important factor is that you start.

Just remember brick by brick, and drop by drop–a little soon becomes a lot. While it may seem fruitless in the beginning, just know that in time your efforts will have amounted to more than you’d imagine. Sooner or later, you’ll wake up and realize that you’re exactly where you want to be. BUT…you gotta start somewhere.
